Silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is a type of pressure-sensitive adhesive that uses silicone material as the main component. Compared with traditional acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives and rubber-type pressure-sensitive adhesives, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives have many excellent properties.
First, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives have excellent chemical resistance and can resist the erosion of a variety of chemicals. It also has excellent water resistance, oil resistance and solvent resistance, and can maintain excellent adhesion in humid, grease or organic solvent environments.
Secondly, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives have good high and low temperature resistance. It can maintain adhesion in high temperature environments and will not become brittle or lose viscosity at low temperatures.
In addition, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives are also resistant to thermal degradation and oxidative degradation. It can maintain stability and adhesion for a long time at high temperatures or long-term exposure to oxygen.
Most importantly, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives can bond with many difficult-to-bond materials. For example, it can achieve good bonding effects with materials such as polyolefins (such as BOPP, PE, etc.) that have not been surface-treated, fluoroplastics, polyimides, and polycarbonates.
Due to these excellent properties, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is widely used in many fields, such as electronics, automobiles, medical treatment, aerospace, etc. It is widely used in the manufacture of pressure-sensitive tapes, sealing materials, adhesives and other products to meet the bonding needs in special environments.
