The IOTA ESKF series is a high-reactivity dual-end epoxy polyether modified silicone oil, combining the intrinsic flexibility and durability of a polysiloxane backbone with highly active epoxy functional groups at both molecular ends. This structural design provides excellent softness, lubrication, and stability while enabling precise chemical modification. The series is completely free of isopropyl alcohol, making it particularly suitable for applications with strict requirements for safety, odor control, and environmental compliance.

In practical applications, the IOTA ESKF series readily reacts with a wide variety of organic amines, fatty amines, and polyether amines through epoxy ring-opening reactions. This allows the synthesis of structurally stable block silicone oils and functional silicone modifiers with tunable performance. Compared with conventional epoxy silicone oils, the ESKF series offers a much broader selection of amine modifiers, giving formulators greater flexibility to design products with tailored tactile properties, ranging from soft and silky to elastic and resilient hand feel.

Due to its high epoxy reactivity, solvent usage during synthesis can be significantly reduced, enabling low-solvent or high-solids reaction systems in many cases. This not only improves production efficiency but also helps minimize fire and safety risks in manufacturing environments. Furthermore, the high activity of the ESKF series expands solvent compatibility, allowing the use of low-toxicity or non-toxic solvents for preparing high-content block silicone oils, which is especially important for premium and environmentally conscious applications.

In addition, the IOTA ESKF series exhibits inherent self-emulsifying characteristics, simplifying formulation design and reducing the need for additional emulsifiers. This contributes to improved formulation stability and cleaner product systems. As a result, the ESKF series is well suited for high-end textile finishing, advanced silicone oil synthesis, and other applications where superior hand feel, safety, and formulation flexibility are all critical factors.
