Silicone resin
Silicone resin is a commonly used silicone product in coatings. It has excellent heat resistance, can maintain a stable chemical structure in high temperature environments, and will not easily decompose or discolor. For example, in some industrial equipment coatings that require high temperature resistance, such as coatings on the surfaces of boilers, chimneys, etc., silicone resin can withstand temperatures as high as 200-600℃.
It also has good weather resistance and has good resistance to external factors such as ultraviolet rays, moisture, and oxygen. This makes coatings containing silicone resins widely used in outdoor facilities, such as protective coatings for outdoor billboards, bridge steel structures, etc., which can effectively prevent the coating from powdering, fading, and peeling due to long-term exposure to outdoor environments.
Silicone resin can also improve the balance between the hardness and flexibility of the coating. By adjusting the molecular structure and formula of the resin, the coating can maintain a certain hardness while having good flexibility, so that after coating on the surface of the object, the coating can better adapt to the deformation of the object without cracking.

Silicone intermediates (such as silane coupling agents)
Silane coupling agents play an important bridging role in coatings. It can enhance the adhesion between the organic components (such as resin) in the coating and the inorganic substrate (such as metal, glass, ceramic, etc.). For example, in automobile painting, silane coupling agent can tightly connect the resin components in the car paint with the metal body of the car, improve the adhesion of the coating, and reduce the risk of paint film peeling.
Silane coupling agent can also improve the water resistance of the coating. It can react with active groups such as hydroxyl groups in the coating, and at the same time form chemical bonds with groups such as hydroxyl groups on the surface of the substrate, forming a hydrophobic layer between the coating and the substrate to prevent water penetration. This is especially important in coating applications such as ship coatings and building exterior wall coatings that require high waterproofness.


Organic silicon leveling agent
Organic silicon leveling agent is mainly used to improve the leveling of the coating. When the coating is applied to the surface of an object, the leveling agent can make the coating level quickly and eliminate defects such as orange peel and brush marks on the coating surface. For example, in wood paint, organic silicon leveling agent can make the paint liquid spread evenly on the surface of the wood, forming a smooth and flat paint film, and improving the appearance quality of the wood.
It can also reduce the surface tension of the paint, so that the paint can better wet the substrate. When coating on some plastic surfaces, it is difficult to wet the paint due to the low-energy surface of the plastic surface, and the silicone leveling agent can reduce the surface tension of the paint, so that the paint can be better spread on the plastic surface and improve the quality of the coating.


Organic silicon defoamer
During the production and use of paint, foam is easy to generate. Organic silicon defoamer can effectively eliminate these foams. For example, in the production process of latex paint, due to stirring, emulsification and other operations, a large amount of foam is easy to generate. After adding organic silicon defoamer, it can quickly reduce the surface tension of the foam and break the foam, thereby ensuring the smooth production process of the paint.
During the construction process of the paint, such as spraying, brushing and other operations, foam may also be generated. Organic silicon defoamer can prevent the formation of foam or quickly eliminate it after it is formed, avoiding the influence of foam on the quality of the coating, such as avoiding defects such as pinholes and bubbles in the coating.
