Emulsion-type silicone waterproofing agent:
Features: It usually appears as a milky white liquid and can be miscible with water in any proportion. This waterproofing agent can generate three-dimensional network silicate by cross-linking reaction under alkaline catalysis, blocking the capillary pores generated during cement hydration, and forming a water-repellent film on the capillary pore wall and cement surface, which has the dual functions of deep waterproofing and surface waterproofing. Moreover, the non-ionic and anionic surfactants contained in the emulsion can reduce the friction resistance of cement mortar or concrete during mixing, improve fluidity, improve workability, and play a role in water reduction.
Application scenarios: Widely used in railways, highway pavements, piers, bridges, underground projects, maritime projects, reservoirs, dams, hydropower stations, water diversion projects, waterproof cement tiles, colored bricks, split bricks, and waterproof treatment of cement base surfaces of internal and external walls, and stone materials with loose structures.
Solvent-type silicone waterproofing agent:
Features: It is composed of silicone or silicone fluorine as active substances and some petroleum solvents or other chemical solvents as carriers. This type of waterproofing agent has a good waterproofing effect, but because it contains organic solvents, there may be certain environmental and safety risks.
Application scenarios: Suitable for occasions with high requirements for waterproofing, but attention should be paid to ventilation and fire prevention during use.
Powdered silicone waterproofing agent:
Features: Its adsorption carriers are generally nano-silicon dioxide and nano-calcium carbonate. This type of waterproofing agent has good stability and is easy to store and transport. When used, it only needs to be mixed with water or other materials.
Application scenarios: Commonly used in dry-mixed materials such as dry mortar and caulking agents, which can reduce the water absorption rate of the material and improve the impermeability and waterproofness.
Modified silicone waterproofing agent:
Features: By chemically modifying the silicone molecules, it has better performance. For example, it improves the adhesion to the substrate, water resistance, weather resistance, etc., has a more obvious effect on the performance improvement of the mortar, and has a better waterproofing effect.
Application scenarios: Suitable for waterproofing treatment of various building materials, especially special parts with high requirements for waterproofing, such as bathrooms, kitchens, basements, etc.
Penetrating crystalline silicone waterproofing agent:
Features: It can penetrate into the interior of building materials, react chemically with the components in cement, generate insoluble crystals, and fill the pores and cracks in the materials, thereby achieving the purpose of waterproofing. This waterproofing agent has good durability and impermeability, and can effectively prevent water penetration for a long time.
Application scenarios: Commonly used for waterproofing of concrete structures, such as basements, pools, tunnels and other projects.
